Our Process for Delivering Quality Results

A flexible, accessible way to communicate data

Carefluence’s current platform, OpenAPI R4, utilizes adapters that normalize data from all health IT sources and deliver what you want to share and consume in the format you need.

The Carefluence® platform connects to any SMART on FHIR® application. It supports the most widely used formats for health information exchange in the U.S. today, including Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (CCDA), X12 Extensible Markup Language, HL7® Accredited Standards Committee X12 and direct protocols. This flexible connectivity can link up with any health information system, EHR, patient portal, lab or other system without requiring point-to-point interfaces.

The Carefluence® Hub can pool, normalize and aggregate data for direct user consumption or for delivery to health systems and their agencies. The platform also has a business rules engine to appropriately route data and tools to troubleshoot, debug and verify the cause of problems.

Standards / Certification

ONC Certification HIT 2015

Translation of data from one application to an EHR requires a keen knowledge of standards and several hours of normalization for each implementation.

Carefluence’s platform was the first to be certified by the Office of the National Coordinator using the FHIR® standard for 2015 Edition Certification. In 2022 it was certified as a standards-based offering that allows healthcare providers and application developers to meet a Dec. 31, 2022, deadline for having the ability to give patients easy access to their care and outcomes information.

On both occasions it was certified by the Drummond Group, a major test lab and certification body. Its formal imprimatur reads:

“This Health IT Module is 2015 Edition compliant with Cures Update and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.” – Drummond Group

A powerful data hub

The versatility of the Carefluence® translators empowers data exchange and normalization in underserved technology spots in a health information exchange or hospital community. The hub can be a powerful substitute (with EHR capability) for those segments of the healthcare population that do not have the luxury of independent systems of clinical data access.

Get the most complete interoperability solution!

Interoperability isn’t just about compliance with federal standards. Being able to connect to other electronic health records systems, sync schedules for patient visits across various care sites, monitor patient vital signs remotely, drive decision support, and keep patients and their loved ones in the loop are all made possible by Carefluence’s software. No other vendor provides a solution that is nearly as comprehensive, flexible, secure and user-friendly.
